August Artprint Gifting & Art Market at Spitalfields

It’s time for the August Art Exhibition at Spitalfields Market starting on Thursday the 30th of July and runs to Sunday the 2nd of August, 10am – 5pm every day as usual. This time though I’m going to celebrate with a monthly give away! The print up for grabs is the “Life’s a Hammock” a signed and numbered limited edition screen-print. I’ve been pondering about this for a while as  I do only want to give prints that I truly love but I am also an artist who is making art for sale, to be re-housed and loved by someone else in someone else’s home. I am very happy with “Life’s a Hammock” as it’s part of “Life’s a Circus” which is a subject that I’m always going back to revisit and it’s a summer print.WEIMG_7546

Late night and Gypsy Gold

We Make London Camden London
We Make London ~ Camden Lock Market, London

Today is late night at Camden Lock and at the We Make London Pop-up Boutique with new designers and new energy after a busy and wonderful year so far. Both for me and the shop.

New for me and the shop is Gypsy Gold, a design duo based in East London, who “offer words for your walls and bags for your bits, printed with love to last a lifetime”. They’ve done a lovely write up about the shop and amongst a pick of many great designers, I happily noticed that they’ve included my “Flamingos dance” print from my “Life’s a Circus” theme. This month, I will have some new prints joining the circus so make sure to pop in.

Perseverance – a bit of fun in a bottle

Limited edttion screen-prints by Linda Skoglund
Limited edition screen-prints by Linda Skoglund

For me this is fun, it’s a journey, a message in a bottle and it makes me happy. “Perseverance” also looks great and remind me of brighter times. Bring on the sunshine! Adding to the collection of Tangerine and Yellow, fresh from the studio – “Perseverance” is now available in two of my favourite colours lime green and teal. Check out the LunaRei shop or my own website

Amy Blue

Amy Blue limited edition of 18
Amy Blue
limited edition screen-print

Every now and then an idea or an image just comes to me and I have to paint it. This is how the original Amy happened, a few years ago, painted in oil on canvas as the evening sun was setting and her husky voice singing in the background. Music always inspire me but here it was her hair that provided the starting point.

This beautiful full colour screen print came about 2 years later as a reaction to the sad news of her passing and as a tribute to her, her family and fans. A lot of good is being done in her memory. For musicians with Lioness Records and the Amy Winehouse foundation which is set up by Mitch Winehouse to “provide help, support or care for young people, especially those who are in need by reason of ill health, disability, financial disadvantage or addiction.”*

My creation of Amy will support some of this work but for now there are only 18 in this limited edition so If you want to get your “Amy Blue” head over to our LunaRei shop on Etsy

Unstoppable Ayah Marar! I think she is

Ayah Marar

Ayah Marar is at it again, busy being brilliant and productive. I love her new style and the new music video to her latest release “Unstoppable” is great. It reminds me of one of my off-set prints of her, a happy “mistake” turned art. Of course, there is only one of them so it’s a keeper but I definitely need to explore this more. We need more colours here in London, a bit of funky fun will do!

Check back soon for funky Paperclay tutorials.

For now, do sun salutations, sun dances and check out the video below as this track is dope!

Amazing times and talents

This is so exciting, Luna Rei is born and launching at the Thames Festival 2011.

Come and find me at Southbank on the 10th Sept. from 12 – 8pm

We’ll be selling limited edition hand-made prints all signed and numbered as well as some one-off framed fabric prints.

Luna Rei is a collaboration and artistic adventure with Reinette De Villiers and myself – and

We also have a specially talented guest joining us – Amy Mae who makes beautiful ceramics.

The party continues, my muse Ayah Marar’s video is finally out and the album release happens on the 25th Sept. It’s a work of art together with the London DJ and producer Yogi, a brilliant match.

Yogi has worked with  Professor Green, Bashy and Plan B to mention a few big ones. He’s with the same team as Swedish House Mafia and being a Swede myself I’ve got to love that one.

Check her tour dates on

I’m in even more good company as I’m not the only one who finds Ayah an inpiration. So does Katherine Hamnett and rightly so, here they both get a great mentioning in Vogue

And the party has only just begun…
